Zucchini Flowers - Typical Tuscan Recipe |

Wonderful yellow zucchini flowers appear in every green- ..grocer in the summertime.
You can use them as a decoration, .since they look like a proper flower, or you can eat them.
We suggest two recipes for zucchini flowers.
Fill them with small pieces of roasted or stewed meat and besciamella with a bit of nutmeg.
Once you've filled the flowers, cook them in the oven or deep fry them.
The deep fried version is also excellent without meat. Clean the flowers, cutting away the pistils and stalks, then dry them delicately.
To prepare the batter, you'll need eggs, flour, water and beer (the beer makes the batter lighter and crunchier). Mix all the ingredients and add a pinch of salt.
Dip the flowers in the batter and deep fry them in hot olive oil. Once they're ready, use blotting paper to dry them. Serve very very hot, with beer or wine, as an appetizer or a side dish.
